- Clean files protected with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels. This is off by default: an administrator turns it on with the Enable Microsoft Purview protected file support policy. Users sign in to Microsoft 365 and need the Extract right on the file. See Cleaning files protected by Microsoft Purview
- The cleaned copy of a protected file is an ordinary unprotected file. Clean asks before saving it, or administrators can block saving it
- Opening a protected file now asks for one Microsoft permission only, Create and access protected content for users, and no longer also asks for SharePoint file access
- The Outlook add-in follows the same Purview setting for protected attachments. Cleaning protected attachments in Outlook requires add-in 1.13.0.0; see below
- Updated the Draftable Clean Group Policy templates (revision 2611.0): the explanation of the Purview save policy now describes the Outlook add-in. No policies were added or removed, and no settings changed. Download the templates
- Fix for PDFs not opening or cleaning when the file name, folder or password contains characters such as ü, 漢 or €
- Fix for a rare crash when PowerPoint files are converted to PDF while other files are loading
- [NetDocuments] Fix for the save confirmation not naming the document when NetDocuments does not return its details
- [Service Mode] Fix for the service’s check on a user’s running Draftable Clean breaking that application’s connection to the Outlook add-in
- Fix for the add-in in Outlook on the web and New Outlook not connecting because Draftable Clean answered the browser’s local network check incorrectly
- Fix for Draftable Clean hanging on close while still connected to the Outlook add-in

Features and improvements
- Files up to Microsoft’s attachment limit of about 24 MB can now be cleaned. Larger files that need cleaning show File exceeds maximum size (24 MB) and Send is held. Files that do not need cleaning are sent as they are
- Save cleaned files, and files converted to PDF, to your document management system from the pane. A Save to button appears for each integration turned on in Draftable Clean (iManage, NetDocuments, SharePoint and Epona 365). Only the cleaned copy is uploaded, one file at a time, as a new document
- With Draftable Clean 26.11.0 and Purview support turned on, protected attachments are cleaned as they are in the desktop application. For recipients that skip cleaning, protected attachments are sent as they are, still protected. See Cleaning files protected by Microsoft Purview
- When cleaning is skipped or turned off for the recipients, attachments are no longer checked and no banner is shown
- Banners no longer flicker while you write
- The Open Draftable Clean banner appears only once there are recipients and the pane is closed
- Fix for attachments not being cleaned again when recipients changed from internal to external while files were cleaning. Files are now cleaned again, or Send is held
Requires Draftable Clean 26.6.0 or later. Use it with Draftable Clean 26.11.0, which protected attachments require. Saving to a document management system requires that integration to be turned on in Draftable Clean. There is no manifest or permission change. Tenants using the latest manifest receive this release automatically. Pinned deployments must be updated by an administrator.

Features and improvements
- The add-in now connects to Microsoft 365 through Draftable’s production app, Draftable Clean. Administrators now see Draftable Clean as the app they approve in Microsoft Entra ID
- Cleaning works exactly as before
If your organization approved the add-in’s permissions before this release, an administrator needs to approve Draftable Clean once, because approval of the earlier app does not carry over. You do not need to redeploy the add-in. Until the app is approved, cleaning still works, but the send-time check is off: the version line at the bottom of the pane shows Graph off (token), and New Outlook and Outlook on the web users are asked to confirm each send that has cleaned attachments. Classic Outlook is not affected. See Approving Draftable Clean in Microsoft Entra.Tenants using the latest manifest receive this release automatically. Pinned deployments must be updated by an administrator.

- Clean password-protected Excel (.xlsx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) files in the desktop application. The cleaned file keeps its original password
- Files protected with Microsoft Purview encryption are now identified and left unchanged, with the message “Protected by Microsoft Purview. Protected files are not supported, so this file was not cleaned.”
- [Epona 365] Open documents from Epona 365 and save cleaned files back. Turn the integration on in Settings > Integrations
- MSI upgrades now close a running Draftable Clean instance before installation, including Intune installations running as SYSTEM, where Draftable Clean is closed in every signed-in user’s session. Microsoft Office applications are not closed
- Draftable Clean does not reopen automatically after the installer finishes. It starts again when the user opens it, or in the background when the Outlook add-in next needs it
- Updated the Draftable Clean Group Policy templates (revision 2610.1) so they can be imported into Microsoft Intune. Download the 26.10.1 templates
- Fix for upgrades leaving a mix of old and new application files when Draftable Clean was running, which stopped the application opening until it was exited from the system tray or the computer was restarted
- Fix for system-wide MSI installations failing on non-English versions of Windows
- Fix for a leftover per-user registration taking over Draftable Clean links and the right-click menu after the per-user version was removed and the system-wide MSI was installed
- [iManage] Fix for image files failing to save back to iManage as a new version
- Fix for Convert to PDF failing on some Word documents with tracked deletions inside fields
- Fix for Paste from Clipboard doing nothing in the Import Profiles dialog of the admin profile editor
This desktop release does not include an Outlook add-in update. The add-in is updated separately; see 1.12.114.0 above.

- Added Skip Cleaning to the no-recipient default and domain rules in Settings > Add-In and Group Policy. Attachments are left unchanged when skipping applies
- Added Clean attachments in New Outlook (beta), allowing administrators to turn cleaning and pre-send checks off in New Outlook for Windows. Where no policy is set, users choose in Settings. This setting does not affect Classic Outlook, Outlook on the web, or Outlook for Mac
- Added support for reading the organisation’s actual Microsoft 365 mailbox size limit, used by the Outlook add-in
- Added source and version labels for documents imported from a document management system. Select File history beside a filename to see its source details and activity for the current session, including for local files
- [NetDocuments] Source labels, imported-version details, and save confirmations now show the document’s display version, such as 2.1, instead of an internal version number
- Updated the Group Policy templates for Skip Cleaning and the New Outlook setting. Refresh both ADMX and ADML files before configuring these options
- Templates now carry a release-specific revision. Use Draftable Clean 26.10.0 or later for the New Outlook policy
- Fix for files with uppercase extensions remaining on Uploading
- Fix for attachment failures in New Outlook when a recipient change switches from Skip Cleaning to a cleaning profile
- Fix for toolbar grouping and inconsistent icon sizing at narrow window widths
- Fix for activity history being attributed incorrectly when files share the same name
Update the desktop application to 26.10.0 and the Outlook add-in to 1.12.110.0 to use these Outlook features together. The desktop application and add-in are updated separately. See installing the Outlook add-in and Group Policy configuration.

- Added recipient-domain Skip Cleaning support. Skipped attachments are labelled Skipped and sent unchanged
- Added an explanatory pane when Clean is turned off in New Outlook for Windows
- Email size checks now use the organisation’s actual Exchange limit where available. Attachments that exceed the limit show a failure message
- Clearer messages for digitally signed files that cannot be cleaned, and clearer attachment-reordering guidance
- Fix for Allow, Prompt, and Block settings not being applied when the pane had not been opened

- Combine selected files into a single PDF bundle, with an optional front-of-bundle index page, per-file bookmarks, and continuous page numbers
- Combine selected files into a single ZIP bundle from the same toolbar menu
- If any file cannot be added to a bundle, the bundle is not created and the problem files are named, so a bundle is never produced with files silently missing
- PDFs are checked for improper redaction — content visually covered but not removed — and flagged with an advisory warning. Cleaning and saving are not blocked
- [iManage] Clean with Draftable action in the iManage Work right-click menu for documents and versions. Requires a new iManage integration package to be deployed
- [NetDocuments] Image files and ZIP files can now be browsed and selected
